The results offer an\u00a0intriguing view of the campaign experience when local and general elections are combined. A\u00a0half\u00a0of candidates believe\u00a0that a combined election is a good idea\u00a0but more than a third take\u00a0a contrary view. Opinion was less sharply divided about the impact of a shared election.
